Accessible pricing

Everyone deserves access to postpartum support. Because I understand that our society doesn't provide equal opportunities for everyone, I offer a limited number of Accessible Pricing Options each month.

I do not offer discounts because historically, “women’s work” has been undervalued and underpaid. Offering my services at a lower price would be a disservice to me, to other birth workers, to everyone who performs work typically considered “women’s work,” and to my clients.

Most importantly, it would go against my commitment to equity.

Accessible Pricing Is NOT:

  • A discount.

  • Charity.

  • A question of what you believe my services should cost.

  • A question of what you want to pay.

Accessible Pricing IS:

  • About what you can afford to access.

  • A way to make my offerings accessible to more people.

  • A way for me to earn a living and support my own children.

  • An acknowledgment that our society doesn't provide equal opportunities for everyone.

  • A means to invest more time and resources into providing free and low-cost offerings for the community.

Consider Choosing Accessible Pricing If:

  • You face discrimination or violence due to systemic oppression.

  • You have medical bills that you are struggling to pay.

  • You have experienced employment discrimination due to immigration status, ableism, or incarceration history.

  • You are eligible for public assistance.

  • You’re experiencing financial difficulties due to job loss or medical emergencies.

  • You’re part of the LGBTQ+ community and have experienced discrimination, harassment, or violence.

  • You’re part of any marginalized community and have experienced discrimination, harassment, or violence.

  • You are affiliated with a non-profit organization or community group working toward a more inclusive world.

  • You own your home outright.

  • You have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited wealth.

  • You can afford to travel for fun.

  • You have access to family resources in times of need.

  • When you pay more, you acknowledge your privilege and support others who may not have the financial means to access these services.

  • When you pay the listed fee, you're helping me maintain a sustainable, woman-owned small business.

  • When you pay less, you're allowing your community to support and uplift you.

Why Your Choice Matters

Payment Plans

If you’d prefer a payment plan, you can split your total into up to 4 payments, depending on the package you choose. Payment plans can be combined with Accessible Pricing to make my services even more attainable.

Please note that the full balance must be paid before I begin processing your placenta.

When you purchase add-ons like salves, prints, or tinctures, you're not just treating yourself to something special—you’re contributing directly to the Accessible Pricing Program. A portion of every add-on purchase goes toward making these services affordable to families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access them.

Providing top-tier placenta encapsulation services involves much more than the time it takes to process a placenta. Here’s a breakdown of the expenses that go into making this service as safe, efficient, and accessible as possible:

  • Supplies & Materials

    • Transport kits with everything you need to safely package your placenta

    • Highest-quality encapsulation tools and materials to ensure safety and efficacy

    • Tincture supplies, salve ingredients, art print supplies

    • Packaging and shipping supplies

    • Sanitizing and food-safe cleaning products that meet OSHA standards

    • Home office supplies

  • Utilities

    • Increased water and electricity usage for cleaning, processing, and sanitizing

  • Transportation Costs

    • Vehicle maintenance and wear-and-tear for frequent travel

    • Gas for pickups and deliveries

    • Paying trusted couriers a fair wage to ensure timely service

  • Professional Expertise

    • My time and dedication to ensuring your placenta is handled with care

    • Ongoing professional certifications, training, and education to ensure client safety and satisfaction

  • Supporting a Woman-Owned Business

    • As a single mom and small business owner, every dollar helps me support my children and sustain my work.

    • By choosing my services, you’re supporting a business that prioritizes care, equity, and inclusivity for all postpartum parents.

  • Running a Small Business

    • Website maintenance, payment processing fees, and administrative costs

    • Marketing to help new moms find my services

  • What I Pay Myself

    • A modest income to support my family and ensure the sustainability of my services

By investing in my services, you’re paying for more than just the finished product—you’re supporting a professional, ethical, and caring service built with your postpartum health in mind while contributing to a woman-owned, disabled-owned small business that prioritizes community and equity.

Add-Ons That Help

What Your Investment Covers:

If you’d like to take advantage of accessibility pricing, please send me an email with the following information:

Please note that the funds I have set aside for accessibility pricing vary each month, so I cannot guarantee I can match your requested price. Additionally, I can only process a certain number of accessibility pricing requests each month, as I must consider my business expenses. I will do my best to accommodate you, but availability is limited.

Your well-being matters, and I want to ensure these services are accessible to everyone who needs them. Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to support you!

If you need to pay less:

  • The amount you can pay.

  • The service you’re booking.

  • I trust you to decide what’s right for you. I won’t ask questions and you don’t need to prove anything to me. Your decision will remain private.

If you’d like to pay more:

  • You can add any additional amount as a tip directly from your invoice page.

  • You’re also welcome to purchase any add-ons, and the profits above what the materials cost me will go toward supporting accessibility pricing for others.
